About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Policy Officer to join our team at the Department of Home Affairs. As a key member of our policy and operations team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing policies that support the Department's mission to protect Australia's sovereignty and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policies that support the Department's mission and objectives
  • Provide expert advice to senior leaders on policy and operational matters
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policy initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of the Department's strategic plans and priorities

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and significant experience in policy development and implementation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
