Logistics Coordinator Role

This role will support port logistics as a Planning Officer, ensuring planning systems, purchasing, and compliance processes are delivered accurately and in line with operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain up-to-date data and records in logistics systems to support operational planning.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by resolving issues and working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, including NHVR, customs, and biosecurity requirements.
  • Support purchasing and planning tasks to align with customer agreements and business targets.
  • Monitor service levels and provide updates to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in a logistics, supply chain, or port operations role.
  • Knowledge of NHVR, customs, or biosecurity regulations.
  • Experience using TMS or other freight and cargo management systems.
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
  • Flexibility to work at short notice, including irregular hours and weekends when required.
