
Economic Development Leader

**About the Role**
This is a key leadership position that will play a crucial part in driving regional economic development and growth across Queensland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering project plans that promote industry and regional development, including research, program development, and reporting on progress.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and deliver project plans that promote industry and regional development, including research, program development, and reporting on progress
- Develop effective relationships with business and industry, all levels of government, peak industry bodies, and other key stakeholders to support delivery of regional outcomes
- Lead the coordination and delivery of presentations at industry capability workshops, webinars, and events
- Leverage networks and strong data and analytic capabilities to facilitate industry development, project facilitation, and supply chain development initiatives
- Monitor and provide feedback to management on new and emerging regional economic development opportunities and issues
- Represent the department at meetings, events, and committees
- Collaborate with and mentor other team members, leveraging strengths within the team to deliver on activity plans and projects that drive economic growth
- Provide accurate and timely reports, briefings, submissions, and other documentation that may be required
- Demonstrate responsible governance through utilizing client, projects, and record management systems, processes, and resources
- Perform other duties as requested by the Regional Director or Manager, including duties that relate to changes in departmental or team priorities
