Early Childhood Team Leader, Hope Island Regional

**Your role**:
As the Early Childhood Team Leader you will have responsibility for the following:

- Supervise processes within the regional office to systematically determine approvals, quality assessment and ratings, monitoring compliance and enforcement in accordance with relevant national and state legislation, with a focus on quality outcomes for children.
- Supervise processes for approving the operation of ECEC services and associated monitoring, compliance and enforcement through the exercise of relevant statutory delegations and in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Participate in networks and liaise with officers in other regions and relevant State and Commonwealth departments and agencies to promote and monitor contemporary issues in the delivery of services to the early childhood education and care sector.
- Contribute to written reports for submission to internal and external stakeholders that identify and address emerging issues and trends relevant to assessment and quality improvement and regulatory compliance of education and care services.
- Contribute to the regional strategic plan by identifying and addressing emerging issues and trends relevant to assessment and quality improvement and regulatory compliance of education and care.
- Contribute to the implementation of consistent, transparent and robust practice including accurate recordkeeping, maintenance of database information and administration of assessment and quality improvement and regulatory frameworks.
- Supervise the day to day operations of the team within the regional office to provide high quality services outcomes and ensure the team's capacity to meet changing organisational and client needs.

The incumbent will be required to undertake their duties as authorised officer under section 195 - Authorisation of authorised officers of the Education and Care Services National Law (Queensland) Act 2011. It is therefore considered advantageous if the incumbent is already recognised as an authorised officer under this section of the legislation.

**Responsibilities include**:
**As the Early Childhood Team Leader you will**:

- Provide leadership to an early childhood education and care (ECEC) team in the delivery of regional services, and coordinate administration of state and nationally applied ECEC services legislation.
- Assist with quality assessment, ratings and audit processes, including moderation and carrying out of the Targeting Quality Strategies (TQS) in relation to approved early childhood education and care services.

The Early Childhood Team Leader reports to the Director, Early Childhood Education and Care in the region.

**Mandatory requirements**:

- When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
