A Senior Claims Officer – Financial Lines role involves managing a diverse portfolio of complex/sensitive/high-risk claims and delivering a best-in-class claims experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Manage claims from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes.
- Provide specialist advice to claims staff on policy coverage, liability, and quantum.
- Appoint and manage external service providers, including legal panels.
- Maintain accurate claim reserves in accordance with reserving guidelines.
- Contribute to the development of the team's market profile through superior claims service.
- Proven experience within Financial Lines/Professional Indemnity Claims (minimum 3-4 years).
- Prior experience mentoring claims staff in technical claims roles.
- Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance would be highly regarded.
