The role involves proactively managing complex, sensitive and high-risk Financial Lines claims from start to finish.
- This entails delivering a best-in-class claims experience in accordance with policies and procedures, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes for our customers.
- Specialist technical advice will be provided on policy coverage, liability, quantum, strategy and reserving to support the claims process.
- External service providers will be appointed and managed, including external legal services.
- Claim reserves will need to be maintained in a timely manner according to reserving guidelines and practices.
- Contributing to a superior market profile through exceptional claims service is also an important aspect of this role.
- Opportunities will exist to mentor and develop other claims staff to enhance their technical capability and deliver excellent commercial results.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience within Financial Lines/Professional Indemnity Claims is necessary.
- Prior experience mentoring claims staff in technical claims roles is highly valued.
- Tertiary qualifications in law, business or insurance are desirable but not essential.
