About the Role

HammondCare At Home is expanding its offerings and is in search of a committed permanent part-time Specialised Carer to serve as a floater or reliever in the vibrant areas of Moreton Bay region, Moreton Bay council area, Mango Hill and surroundings.

As a specialised carer, you will receive a work mobile phone, compensated travel time, and reimbursement for kilometres traveled. This role provides the flexibility to work across the Moreton Bay region, with shifts available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, although all availability is welcomed.

Your Responsibilities

In this position, you will deliver essential and practical care to assist older individuals in maintaining their independence at home, thereby enhancing their quality of life. Your duties may include:

  • Offering personal care, including assistance with showering and dressing.
  • Supporting household tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaning.
  • Providing transportation for appointments and aiding with shopping.
  • Assisting clients with medication management.

About You

  • You possess strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Previous experience in aged or community care is advantageous, though those looking to begin their career in aged care are encouraged to apply.
  • A valid Driver's Licence and access to an insured, reliable vehicle (minimum Third Party Property Insurance) are required.
  • While a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support is preferred, we are willing to assist those who wish to obtain this qualification.
  • You are adaptable to meet the evolving needs of home care clients.

  • Hourly pay ranging from $29.56 to $32.45, plus 99c/km reimbursement and paid travel time, along with a mobile phone.
  • Comprehensive training is provided for all Care Workers; no prior experience is necessary.

Applicants will be required to undergo a Police Check, Functional assessment, provide two referees, and show proof of at least two COVID-19 vaccinations.
