About the Role
HammondCare At Home is expanding its services and is looking for a committed permanent part-time Specialised Carer to serve as a floater or reliever in various vibrant communities.
As a specialised carer, you will receive a work mobile phone, along with compensated travel time and mileage. This role offers the flexibility to work across diverse locations with shifts available on select weekdays, though all availability is appreciated.
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver essential and practical support to assist elderly individuals in maintaining their independence at home, thereby enhancing their quality of life. This position requires travel to clients' residences using your own vehicle, for which you will be reimbursed at a rate of $0.99 per kilometer, in addition to paid travel time.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering personal care, including assistance with bathing and dressing
- Providing household support, such as meal preparation and light cleaning
- Offering transportation to appointments and aiding with shopping
- Assisting clients with medication management
About You
- You possess strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Previous experience in aged or community care is beneficial, but we welcome those looking to start their career in this field.
- A valid Driver's License and access to an insured, reliable vehicle are essential.
- While a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support is preferred, we are willing to assist those who wish to obtain their qualifications.
- You are adaptable and responsive to the evolving needs of home care clients.

Applicants will need to undergo a Police Check, Functional assessment, and provide two referees, along with proof of at least two COVID-19 vaccinations.
