Procurement Specialist Role

The Procurement Specialist plays a pivotal role in the success of our commercial endeavors. As a highly motivated and organized individual, you will be responsible for liaising with suppliers to align purchasing processes with sales objectives and overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with Inventory Managers, Commercial Managers, Directors, and external clients to provide high-level support
  • Share information with Account Managers, Sales Coordinators, and warehouse staff to ensure effective administrative functions
  • Purchasing stock from various suppliers to meet deadlines and maintain optimal stock levels
  • Organize stock call-ups in line with customer project schedules to guarantee timely delivery
  • Evaluate suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing using various resources
  • Review backorders and follow up on delivery times with suppliers daily to minimize delays
  • Maintain open communication with relevant departments regarding back orders and due dates
  • Address internal and external queries regarding purchases to assist end customers
  • Resolve any discrepancies related to purchasing procedures
  • Provide feedback to management and maintain accurate and detailed purchasing records
About You:
  • A strong interest in procurement is essential, preferably in a commercial industry
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly are crucial
  • Experience in ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is necessary
  • Attention to detail and high-level written and verbal communication skills are required
