Purpose and Key Activities

As a Business Development Professional, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by developing and implementing promotional activities for our target audience. Your primary responsibility will be to create market demand and need for our products and solutions. This will involve identifying and developing sales opportunities through introductions, presentations, and education of the target audience about our offerings.

The work model for this role is hybrid, allowing for a balance between remote and office work. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.

This role contributes to the Low Voltage business division in Perth, with an additional national focus on managing the Mining, Oil & Gas segment.

  • Develop and implement proactive promotional activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, educational material, and technical development of projects and solutions for WA.
  • Lead the Segment team for mining and Oil & Gas nationally, supporting local technical promotion specialists within this segment.
  • Plan and conduct regular status reviews, analyzing and deriving insights from target audience visits.
  • Establish and maintain effective long-term relationships with target group customers to understand their needs and ensure they are well-informed of our product, systems, services offering, features, and benefits.
  • Ensure efficient marketing activities and strong value proposition to customers by using effective promotional techniques.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A seasoned business development professional with at least 5 years' experience within the mining and oil & gas industry.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in running large project opportunities with multiple stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in CRM platforms, such as Salesforce.
  • Passionate about building high-level relationships within organisations while presenting technical solutions effectively.
  • Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
