Job Description

This role is responsible for leading end-to-end procurement strategies across assigned categories, overseeing spend under management, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional procurement services.

  • Category Management: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, promoting effective communication and cohesive team efforts.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactively assess and mitigate risks associated with supplier agreements and service contracts.
  • Spend & Supplier Management: Monitor, control, and optimize spend across all assigned categories.
  • Supplier Optimisation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supplier performance and delivering cost and service efficiencies.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to established procurement policies, regulations, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Category Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies that drive business growth, reduce costs, and improve supplier relationships.
  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Collaborate with various departments to foster open communication, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and achieve collective goals.
  • Contract Negotiation & Management: Negotiate and manage contracts, leveraging expertise in risk assessment and mitigation to secure favorable terms.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with supplier agreements and service contracts.

Skills, Attributes, And Experience:

  • Proven track record of success in procurement category management, indirect spend categories an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to drive cost optimization and improve supplier value.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience in governance, compliance, and risk management within procurement.
