At VetPartners, we pride ourselves on delivering shared services support that drives success for our veterinary clinics. This role features a hybrid work arrangement, with four days in the office to promote collaboration, build strong connections, and enhance team engagement.
VetPartners is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to take full ownership of assigned spend categories, ensuring effective supplier management, cost optimisation, and value delivery. This role will be responsible for driving procurement efficiencies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with governance and risk management frameworks. Working closely with internal stakeholders, the successful candidate will develop and implement procurement strategies that support both operational and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Category Management: Lead and optimise procurement strategies across assigned categories.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with management teams and clinics to drive procurement efficiencies.
- Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactively assess and manage risks within supplier agreements and service contracts.
- Spend & Supplier Management: Oversee spend under management, price lists, contract negotiations, invoice reconciliation, and consumption tracking.
- Supplier Optimisation: Implement initiatives to improve supplier performance and deliver cost and service efficiencies.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring procurement solutions align with business needs.
- Proven experience in procurement category management, indirect spend categories a bonus.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to drive cost optimisation and improve supplier value.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience in governance, compliance, and risk management within procurement.
