Chief Financial Strategist

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on finance leader to drive financial sustainability and organisational growth in the community services sector.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
- Oversee audit, funding acquittals, and statutory compliance
- Provide financial leadership for procurement and contract oversight
- Enhance internal controls, cashflow, and payroll cost analysis
- Support insurance renewals, risk mitigation, and investment strategies
- Mentor finance staff and build internal financial literacy organisation-wide
- Lead digital automation and process improvement projects in the finance function
This role is ideal for a values-driven, commercially astute finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You bring strong business acumen, analytical expertise, and a collaborative leadership style.
To be successful, you will have:
- Minimum 7 years' accounting experience with team leadership
- Strong budgeting, financial reporting, and scenario modelling capabilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Experience using CRM, payroll, and reporting tools
- High-level communication, organisation, and time management skills
- A proactive approach to solving complex issues and leading change
Desirable: Knowledge of the Carer sector, community services or grant-funded environments.
Requirements include a current Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and Child Safe Environments training.
