Our organization is seeking a Financial Strategist to lead the development of our financial management function. This key role will play a pivotal part in building and maintaining a high-performing finance team aligned with our overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic financial plans, ensuring timely insights and accurate reporting.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management, driving continuous improvement in financial systems and internal controls.
  • Lead risk management processes, including insurance, compliance, and financial governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with policy and performance benchmarks.
  • Partner across the business to enhance financial outcomes and shared service efficiencies, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in managing a finance team and function, with a proven track record of delivering strategic business advisory services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise, and meet tight deadlines in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise and negotiate with senior management, Board members, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial systems, word processing, presentations, and spreadsheets, with strong computer skills and a collaborative work style.
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting (CPA or CA qualified applicants will be highly regarded).
