Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and resolving claims and compensation related issues through participation in grievance and dispute resolution.

The Claims Manager will represent the agency on legal and compensation matters within delegation of authority, including negotiation and representation at the tribunal and with claimants and their representatives, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of disputes.

The Claims Manager will deliver prompt, efficient, cost-effective and equitable claims and compensation services, including consultancy, claim determinations, monitoring and approval of costs inclusive of treatment and income maintenance, negotiation and resolution of disputes, to meet all legislative requirements and accreditation standards.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of injury management legislation, regulations, standards, policies and practices, with familiarity across other state and national frameworks desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders (employees, managers, medical professionals and insurers).
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills with a proactive mindset and excellent attention to detail.
