As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the health and safety of our workforce across metropolitan and regional areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interact with injured workers, managers, workers compensation insurers and treatment providers to achieve a sustainable return to work as soon as possible through the promotion of suitable duties
  • Conduct pre-employment medical assessments
  • Support investigations and recommend corrective actions
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments
  • Proactively source suitable duties for temporary workers with restricted work capacity
  • Minimize the impact of workplace injuries on affected workers
  • Contact treatment providers prior to medical reviews to promote a sustainable reduction in restrictions to achieve a return to pre-injury duties
  • Maintain accurate records and file notes of discussions with treatment providers, the insurer and the worker
