Career Development Specialist

Summary:
As a Career Development Specialist, you will utilize your skills to facilitate and guide clients in achieving meaningful employment opportunities that lead to sustainable career outcomes.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders as part of managing the referral & intake process of job seekers into suitable programs.
- Evaluation of job seeker skills, abilities, identification of barriers and intervention strategies.
- In consultation with our job seekers, developing and maintaining work preparation strategies, tailored interventions (including other service providers) and employment support activities.
- Marketing of job seekers to achieve sustainable employment opportunities.
- Providing pre-employment assistance through vocational counseling, training, job search skills, and work trials/work experience to increase capacity for employment.
Requirements:
- Self-driven, resilient, and experienced in Customer Service.
- Strong Communication skills, attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use computer systems, excellent data accuracy & note taking.
- Building rapport, growing & maintaining relationships with clients, peers, & jobseekers.
- Enjoying achievement of KPI's - securing meaningful work for vulnerable individuals.
- Holding a current NDIS Worker Screening check or being willing to obtain one.
