Job Title: Career Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to support and guide clients in achieving sustainable employment outcomes. As a career development specialist, you will use your skills to build rapport with clients, assess their skills and abilities, and develop strategies to overcome barriers to employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders as part of managing the referral & intake process of job seekers into their chosen program
  • Assessment of job seeker skills, abilities, identification of barriers and intervention strategies
  • In consultation with our job seekers, develop and maintain work preparation strategies, job seeking strategies, tailored interventions (including other service providers) and employment support activities
  • Reverse marketing of job seekers to achieve sustainable employment opportunities
  • Provide pre-employment assistance through vocational counselling, training, job search skills, and work trials/work experience to increase capacity for employment

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Self-driven, resilient, hungry to succeed & experienced in customer service
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use computer systems, excellent data accuracy & note taking
  • Build rapport, grow & maintain relationships with clients, peers, & jobseekers
