About the Role

As a key member of the University of South Australia's leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the commercialisation of research and innovation. This involves developing and implementing strategies to translate UniSA's intellectual property into tangible outcomes, including licensing, spinouts, and start-ups. You will work closely with the Chair: UniSA Ventures and the Deputy Vice Chancellor: Research & Enterprise to build strong relationships with industry, government, and the investment community.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience in commercialisation of R&D, technology transfer, or equivalent experience in a complex environment
  • Experience in managing an IP commercialisation function at scale, resulting in significant achievements in commercialisation outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop key strategic relationships and deliver end-to-end conversion of commercialisation opportunities
  • Strong experience in high-level project management and building sound relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in leadership and management of people in direct reporting line and matrixed environments
  • Excellent understanding of the industry, professional, and government environments in Australia and internationally in relation to research commercialisation and translation
