Chief Commercialisation Officer: Research Translation

As a key member of the University of South Australia's leadership team, you will oversee the strategic development and implementation of research translation activities. Your expertise in commercialising R&D and technology transfer will drive business growth and innovation within the university.
Responsibilities:- Lead the creation, negotiation, and delivery of opportunities for transactions based on UniSA's valuable technology IP.
- Manage the operation of UniSA Ventures, a wholly owned subsidiary of the university, to leverage industry partnerships and promote research translation opportunities.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, researchers, and external partners to secure the promotion and delivery of research translation outcomes.

Key Skills and Qualifications- Significant experience in commercialising R&D, technology transfer, or equivalent in a complex environment.
- Proven track record in managing an IP commercialisation function at scale, resulting in significant achievements in commercialisation outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to build and develop key strategic relationships and deliver end-to-end conversion of commercialisation opportunities to support strategic objectives.
- Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership experience in people management, both direct and matrixed environments.
- Excellent understanding of the industry, professional, and government environments in Australia and internationally related to research commercialisation and translation.
