Senior Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team. As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of mechanical sampling systems for the coal and minerals industry.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional skills in mechanical design, drafting, and project management, as well as experience with AutoCAD 2D/3D and Inventor software.
Key Responsibilities:- Drafting and Design: Prepare detailed drawings for mechanical sampling projects using AutoCAD 2D/3D and Inventor.
- Manufacturing Drawings: Issue accurate manufacturing drawings to fabricators, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
- Design Review: Review and check drawings generated by others to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Process Improvement: Utilize existing Inventor models from our library to streamline the process from concept to detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Project Delivery: Deliver designs and drawings within agreed project schedules, maintaining high accuracy and minimizing errors.
- A high level of proficiency with AutoCAD and Inventor, with extensive relevant experience in mechanical design.
- Strong experience in engineering design and calculations, applying technical knowledge to deliver accurate and practical solutions.
- Evidence of tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification.
- Draftsperson experience, preferably in mechanical or industrial projects.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
