Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

City Facilities Management is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on key HSE processes, including hazard management, incident investigation, and claims management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular HSE audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on HSE procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain HSE registers, including hazard registers, risk assessment registers, and chemical registers.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Experience in developing and delivering HSE training programs.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and reporting on HSE statistical data.
  • Proven experience in reviewing outcomes and completeness of hazard/incident reports and investigation.
  • Expertise in providing up-to-date advice, information, and interpretation of Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards associated with business activities.
