Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams, site managers, and subcontractors on all health and safety matters.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project teams to review construction plans and designs, ensuring they meet health and safety requirements and consider risk mitigation strategies.
- Stay up to date with changes in health and safety legislation and industry best practices, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor in the construction industry, preferably within a Tier 1 Contractor organisation.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, hazards, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
