- Investigate Incidents and Accidents: Conduct thorough investigations, provide detailed reports, and recommend preventive measures and corrective actions.

- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay informed about changes in health and safety legislation and industry best practices, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor Subcontractor Compliance: Conduct safety audits and monitor subcontractors' compliance with health and safety standards, contractual obligations, and site-specific safety plans.
- Promote a Positive Safety Culture: Organize safety campaigns, initiatives, and awareness programs to engage all personnel and enhance their safety awareness.
- Participate in Pre-Construction Meetings: Participate in pre-construction meetings, risk assessments, and method statement reviews to identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate control measures are in place.
- Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety: A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor in the construction industry, preferably within a Tier 1 Contractor organization.
- Strong Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation: Thorough knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and codes of practice; Rail industry experience is an advantage.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to conduct comprehensive incident investigations and produce detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
- Proactive and Self-Motivated: Proactive and self-motivated with a strong commitment to continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
