About the Role
This Violence Prevention Specialist role is a critical part of our organization's mission to enhance the safety of women and children in our community.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other funded agencies as part of the State-funded Integrated Response to Family Violence.
This role requires a deep understanding of family violence and its impact on individuals and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- To develop and implement strategies to prevent family violence and promote healthy relationships.
- To work closely with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response to family violence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA (Psychologists) or AASW (Social Workers).
- Experience working with diverse client groups, particularly those experiencing family violence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
