Family Violence Prevention Specialist

Preventing family violence requires a multifaceted approach that involves educating and supporting individuals who have been identified as perpetrators. As a Behaviour Change Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in this process by providing case management services to men who have been referred to the program.
Your key responsibilities will include conducting initial intake assessments, delivering individual sessions, and making referrals to consumers as needed. By doing so, you will be contributing to a safer and more supportive community for families affected by family violence.
To be successful in this role, you will require undergraduate qualifications in Social Work or Psychology, as well as experience in family violence intervention and support service delivery. A sound understanding of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 is also essential. Additionally, your group facilitation skills and ability to understand the gendered nature of family violence will be highly valued.
