Logistics Procurement Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the sourcing strategy for logistics categories, providing category insight and expertise through understanding of costs, cost drivers, market, industry, and supplier variables.

This role will drive initiatives focusing on overall cost optimization for the categories, collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute initiatives, and build a pipeline of opportunities.

The ideal candidate will manage supplier contracts according to policy guidelines, ensure compliance with procurement procedures, and manage supplier relationships to drive innovation and value.

Key responsibilities include strategic sourcing and category planning, sustainable cost advantage delivery, business and stakeholder alignment, spend governance, and supplier relationship management.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, logistics, or similar field.
  • At least 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Experience in freight & logistics buying on a local basis, preferably in buying like categories.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to collaborate, build strong working relationships, and influence change within a business.
  • Proven ability to realize significant savings for the business.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to handle tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Quality assurance orientation.
  • Familiarity with SAP and Excel is an asset.
