Job Description

The Data Governance Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering sustainable growth, ensuring the accuracy, security, and compliance of data across the business.

This strategic position involves defining, implementing, and overseeing our data governance framework to protect the integrity of our data assets while enabling us to innovate with confidence.

You will work cross-functionally with content, marketing, sales, product, and technology teams to establish best practices in data quality, metadata management, compliance, and usage.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company-wide data governance strategy, policies, and standards.
  • Establish data stewardship roles and responsibilities across business units.
  • Lead the creation and enforcement of data classification frameworks to control sensitive data access.
  • Ensure alignment with GDPR, CCPA, OAIC, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and monitor KPIs for data quality (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency).
  • Introduce automated data validation and cleansing processes to maintain accuracy in large-scale audience datasets.
  • Champion a data-driven culture by educating teams on data governance principles and best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with data handling, storage, and transfer.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of privacy regulations and data protection laws.
