About this role

Maintenance and repair of Heavy Underground Equipment is a critical task that requires a high level of expertise and leadership.

In this position, you will oversee a team of tradespeople ensuring all maintenance and repair work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You'll be hands-on while also assisting with planning, mentoring, and troubleshooting.

  • Lead and coordinate a diverse team of tradespeople, ensuring high-quality maintenance and repair of Heavy Underground Equipment (e.g., CAT, Volvo, Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet, and Toyota).
  • Oversee daily workflow and job allocations, prioritising tasks to meet operational deadlines.
  • Conduct regular inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Liaise with supervisors and client representatives to coordinate maintenance activities and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repair documentation.

Key Requirements

We're looking for individuals who:

  • Are willing to work underground.
  • Have proven experience in a leading hand role.
  • Have experience on underground machinery.
  • Hold a current Manual Driver's License (HR preferred).
  • Have full Australian working rights.
  • Hold a National Police Clearance.
