Key Role: Disability Service Manager

The position is based in rural Victoria, southern NSW and Metropolitan Melbourne. As the Disability Service Manager for Ovens Murray, you will lead a disability service team to deliver safe, high-quality and person-centered services.

Key responsibilities include driving standards, capability and key performance measures while ensuring customers achieve their desired outcomes.

Success in this role requires leadership skills, culture alignment, stakeholder engagement, operational oversight and performance management. A strong command of NDIS Practice Standards and Quality & Safeguarding Framework is also essential.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Leadership skills: inspire, consult and guide your team to achieve great things
  • Culture alignment: ensure commitment and alignment of all team members to enhancing the lives of people we support in a respectful and accountable manner
  • Stakeholder engagement: build meaningful relationships with stakeholders to deliver what we promise
  • Operational oversight: manage day-to-day service delivery, ensuring quality, safeguarding and customer goals
  • Performance management: set clear expectations, monitor KPIs and use data-driven insights to identify areas for growth and implement corrective actions

You will also require:

  • Extensive knowledge in the disability sector, including experience in building workforce capacity and managing operations effectively through accountability frameworks
  • Proven ability to build workforce capacity, practice capabilities and manage operations effectively
  • Considerable hands-on experience in transitioning new customers, establishing services and nurturing growth opportunities
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex people-oriented environments
  • Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with participants, families, staff and sector stakeholders
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills
  • Sound financial analysis and budget management skills
  • High capacity for multi-tasking
