About this role
We are seeking an exceptional leader to oversee our Ovens Murray disability service in Wangaratta, ensuring high-quality and person-centered services for our customers. The ideal candidate will drive standards, capability, and key performance measures while fostering a culture of respect and accountability.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead a dynamic team to deliver safe and effective services
- Foster a culture that prioritizes the rights, dignity, and capabilities of individuals with disabilities
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve our goals
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to quality and customer expectations
- Monitor performance, identify areas for growth, and implement corrective actions
- Exercise sound judgment, creativity, and a proactive approach to meet challenges
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the disability sector, with expertise in NDIS Practice Standards and Quality & Safeguarding Frameworks
- Proven ability to build workforce capacity and manage operations effectively
- Hands-on experience transitioning new customers and establishing services
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex environments
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to work collaboratively with stakeholders
Eligibility:
- Tertiary qualification in Disability, Community Services, or Social Services, or equivalent skills/experience
- Minimum three years' experience in operations leadership within the NDIS-era disability sector
