Head Greenkeeper Role at Toowoomba Grammar School. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Greenkeeper to lead the maintenance, presentation, and continual improvement of sports fields, gardens, lawns, and outdoor facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curate high-quality sporting fields and turf wickets.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and vendors.
  • Oversee equipment training, maintenance, and records.
  • Install, maintain, and programme irrigation systems.
  • Support sustainability and health, safety, and environment requirements.

Selection Criteria:
  • Technical Expertise in Greenkeeping:
    • Demonstrated ability to curate and manage turf wickets and sports fields.
    • Proficiency in operating groundskeeping equipment and plant care and pest control.
    • Experience in planning and executing landscaping projects and managing fertiliser and pest control programs.
  • Leadership and Management:
    • Ability to provide management and direction to a grounds team.
    • Proven experience in coordinating with internal departments and contractors.
  • Physical Capabilities:
    • Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
    • Ability to carry out repetitive manual tasks while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment Awareness:
    • Commitment to workplace health and safety.
    • Strong understanding of sustainability practices in groundskeeping.
