This role is an OO2 progression position. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met.

Main Responsibilities:

The Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities contributes to the efficient operation of the school by providing high-quality grounds and facilities maintenance. This includes a range of activities such as delivering and collecting mail, preparing classrooms for examinations, maintaining various registers, and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Maintenance and Operations:

The role involves regular mowing, watering, and soil maintenance of school ovals, lawn and garden maintenance, and general maintenance of grounds care equipment. Additionally, the Schools Officer assists with clearing and hosing of drains and gutters, collection of waste, and removal and disposal of rubbish.

Communication and Liaison:

Liaising with internal and external personnel, students, and staff on issues of lost property and damage to facilities is a key aspect of this role.
