We are seeking a skilled professional to manage complex medical and loss of income insurance claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end management of medical and loss of income claims, ensuring reserves are set and maintained according to actuarial principles, policy terms, and regulatory expectations.
- Management of complaints and escalations using conflict resolution skills to de-escalate concerns and restore trust.
- Support for customers with mental health challenges, financial hardship, or language/cultural barriers.
Required Skills:
- Experience with mental health, injury, and chronic illness-related claims.
- Strong grasp of loss of income calculations, including offsets, waiting periods, benefit caps, and pre-disability earnings.
- Proficiency in working with vulnerable customers.
- Demonstrated skill in complaints handling and de-escalation technique.
- Confidence in liaising with medical professionals, clients, employers, brokers, and other stakeholders.
