Geochemist Role

We are seeking a Geochemist to contribute technical expertise to various environmental and mine waste-related projects.

The role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic group, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include planning, executing, and interpreting geochemical investigations and studies, including characterisation of mine waste, water quality assessments, and predictive modelling of environmental impacts.

You will work on diverse projects geographically and technically.

To be successful in the role you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 to 15+ years' experience in environmental geochemistry, preferably within the mining or consulting sectors;
  • Experience in designing, executing, and interpreting geochemical characterisation programs (e.g. static and kinetic testing);
  • Technical expertise in Acid Rock Drainage and related fields;
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills;
  • A sound understanding of environmental legislation and permitting frameworks;
  • Excellent technical writing and reporting skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines;
  • The ability to work independently, and as part of a larger project team;
  • A willingness to travel for fieldwork and project support within Australia and internationally;
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Geochemistry, Geology, or a related field.
