Junior Geochemist

We are seeking a Junior Geochemist to join our team of experts in delivering leading mine closure consulting services.

This role will provide technical knowledge and skills to assist geoscientists, design engineers, and closure specialists in delivering innovative solutions through an integrated life of mine approach.

  • Prepare technical documentation and reports for geochemistry-related projects.
  • Develop and manage geochemical and physical sampling, analytical, and laboratory testing programs.
  • Complete QA/QC checks on data from field monitoring systems and laboratory testing programs.
  • Complete background information reviews to support conceptual designs, plans, and models.
  • Prepare or review detailed work scopes for proposals.
  • Interact competently with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels of expertise.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in geosciences (geochemistry, earth sciences, environmental science, engineering geology, or soil science).
  • Knowledge and experience in using geochemical modeling software are considered an asset.
  • Experience in mining or consulting is also an asset.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in time management, planning, and organization.
