Financial Strategist Opportunity

This role presents a unique chance to shape and build a finance function within a professional services firm.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of BAU FP&A and project work experience, with a proven ability to create and implement business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver weekly and monthly reporting packs
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Work closely with divisional leaders on performance evaluation
  • Identify and execute both revenue-generating and cost-reduction initiatives
Transformation Focus:
  • Assess current FP&A landscape and processes
  • Enhance reporting, budgeting, and BI tools
  • Contribute to the broader finance transformation program
  • Stay hands-on with analysis while driving strategic project work

We are seeking an individual with strong commercial insight and capability building skills: CA/CPA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with 3-5 years in FP&A or business partnering. Professional services experience is strongly preferred.

Required skills include digitally literate, with hands-on exposure to reporting, budgeting, and BI platforms (implementation experience highly regarded). Strong communication and presentation skills; confident engaging senior stakeholders. Exposure to PMO or structured project methodologies is advantageous.

Requirements include being currently based in Australia with full Australian working rights.
