Job Summary:
Terra Sancta Limited is seeking a highly skilled Vineyard Supervisor to lead and assist our seasonal vineyard team in all aspects of high-quality fruit production. This is a full-time, permanent role that will report to Terra Sancta's Assistant Vineyard Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Train and lead a small seasonal crew to ensure efficient and effective vineyard operations.
- Canopy Management: Execute the seasonal canopy management plan to optimize grape quality and yield.
- Pruning and Maintenance: Execute pruning with efficiency and attention to detail, and assist with vineyard tasks such as wiring, young vine training, trellis maintenance, and livestock care.
- Pest and Disease Management: Monitor and control pests and diseases to prevent damage to the vineyard.
Requirements:
- Communication and Leadership Skills: Great communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate others.
- Reliability and Punctuality: Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Physical Fitness: Physically fit to complete and champion any vineyard task.
- Knowledge and Experience: A good understanding of vineyard processes and seasonality, with 2+ years of viticultural experience theoretical or practical.
- Driver's License: Full New Zealand driver's license with own transport.
