Education Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated Education Assistant to provide support for students with diverse needs.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the teaching team to deliver high-quality education programs, focusing on the individual needs of each student.

A key aspect of this role is managing small groups of students under the guidance of the teacher, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.

This position requires an ability to work effectively in a team setting, communicate ideas clearly, and adapt to changing circumstances as needed.

Experience in supporting students with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, complex communication needs, and challenging behaviour would be highly valued.

In addition, we seek individuals who are friendly, approachable, and possess good written and oral communication skills.

An ideal candidate would have a genuine interest in supporting students with high educational needs, leveraging their strengths to promote academic growth and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with diverse needs in a collaborative team environment
  • Assist in delivering education programs under the direction of the teacher
  • Manage small groups of students, promoting a safe and inclusive learning space
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Education Support or related field
  • Proven experience working with students with special needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
