Job Title

A field technician is needed for a geotechnical/ geophysical role to work with our project team in the field and assist the project manager in the office.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Providing onsite assistance to ensure various equipment is moved, set up, and maintained to meet project requirements;
  2. Fieldwork to assist data acquisition as required, including deploying geo phones, helping with borehole drilling, load testing, pile testing, seismic refraction, structural health monitoring etc.;
  3. Supporting colleagues with data capture on laptop and securely sending data to processing team;
  4. Assisting the project manager with proposals and project coordination tasks in the office;
  5. Proactively supporting the overall team in any way to meet department and project objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Curiosity and enjoyment of continuously learning about and working with different types of tools, machinery, and instruments;
  • Adaptability, proactivity, and a natural flair for technology are essential;
  • Flexibility to do what is required for a project's completion is also important;
  • Experience in surveying, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, mining engineering, or other relevant trades or tertiary education can be beneficial;
