We are seeking a dedicated Chef to join our team, who shares our passion for serving others and can lead a kitchen team to provide high-quality meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure residents receive nutritious meals on time, prepared and served according to Anglicare's high standards.
  • Direct, monitor, and train kitchen staff to meet production and distribution deadlines, ensuring meals are served efficiently.
  • Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with Anglicare and industry regulations.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and kitchen equipment, ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment.
  • Monitor food quality from preparation to service, suggesting improvements to enhance the dining experience for residents.
  • Act as a mentor to your team by providing on-the-job training, setting clear expectations, and fostering a cooperative and respectful work environment.

Requirements:

  • You hold a Commercial Cookery Certificate or equivalent.
  • You have a minimum of 4 years of food industry experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • You have excellent English communication skills and can lead and train a team effectively.
  • You are passionate about creating high-quality meals that meet both dietary and cultural needs, while maintaining the dignity and well-being of all residents.
