The Parts Interpreter plays a crucial role in delivering precise and timely parts advice, dispatch, and administrative support to both the Division and its clientele.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Accurately identify the necessary spare parts to ensure customers receive their orders completely and punctually.
  • Offer backup assistance for parts operations across various regions.
  • Provide customers with detailed spare part product information.
  • Collaborate with customers and other departments to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of parts processes, including stock management and inventory control.
  • Deliver professional and prompt customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage stock orders from suppliers, including international sources.
  • Handle the processing and invoicing of customer sales orders.
  • Generate and review transactional reports to identify any discrepancies.
  • Participate in regular stocktaking activities.
  • Engage with service and sales teams.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Provide timely and effective administrative support, including report generation and record maintenance.
  • Facilitate on-the-job training as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Notify the organization of any potential issues affecting product and service quality.
  • Propose improvements to organizational policies and processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in a dynamic spare parts department.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Proficient literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to assess and address customer needs effectively.
  • Capable of operating lifting and height equipment.
  • Sales skills, including techniques for upselling.
  • Technical report writing skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer applications.
  • Commitment to self-development in both technical and behavioral competencies.
