About the Role

The Tecside Group is seeking a highly skilled Parts Interpreter to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate parts advice, dispatch, and administrative services to our division and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Parts Identification: Identify the correct spare parts to ensure customers receive the goods in full and on time.
  • Backup Support: Provide backup support for parts operations in various regions, including VIC/TAS, WA/SA/NT, QLD, and New Zealand.
  • Spare Part Information: Provide spare part product information to customers.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional and timely customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor the effectiveness of parts processes, including stock control and inventory.
  • Order Processing: Order stock from suppliers, including the factory in Germany.
  • Reporting: Run and check transactional reports to ensure exceptions are identified.
  • Stock Take: Participate in the preparation and conduct of regular stock take activities.
  • Communication: Liaise with service and sales personnel.
  • Compliance: Comply with occupational health and safety requirements in the workplace.
  • Administrative Services: Provide timely and effective administrative services, including developing required reports and correspondence, and maintaining accurate records and files.
  • Training: Provide on-the-job training as required.
  • Quality Assurance: Comply with Quality Assurance (QA) and Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy and Procedures.
  • Problem Solving: Alert the organization of potential or known problems that affect the quality of the company's products and services.
  • Process Improvement: Initiate recommendations for improvement of the organization's policies and processes.
Key Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a fast-moving spare parts department.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills.
  • Literacy and Numeracy: Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to determine and address customer needs.
  • Operational Skills: Ability to operate lifting and working at heights equipment.
  • Sales Skills: Sales skills, including up-selling techniques.
  • Report Writing: Report writing skills, including technical reports.
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills.
  • Self-Development: Ability to self-develop technical and behavioral competencies.
