About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Safety Officer to join our team in the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs. As a Child Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in delivering statutory child protection services, including assessment, intervention, casework, and case management in accordance with legislation and practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver statutory child protection services, including assessment, intervention, casework, and case management
  • Work in teams, often multi-disciplinary, based in Child Safety Service Centres covering specific geographical areas in various locations across Queensland
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, young people, families, and communities to ensure their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for children and families
Requirements
  • Bachelor level qualification in social work, psychology, human services, or behavioural science
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19
  • Right to live and work in Australia
