About the Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified professional to join our team as a Lecturer in Master of Social Work (Qualifying). As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and contributing to the growth and development of our students.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of social work theory and practice, eligibility for AASW membership and high professional and ethical standards. You will also have experience in teaching, research and professional experience in social work or community services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Assessment: Develop and deliver face-to-face teaching sessions and learning materials, create learning resources including study guides, webinars and assessment instructions for assigned subjects, assess student assessments in accordance with policies and maintain subject sites on the Learning Management System.
  • Student Support: Provide student support via face-to-face, LMS, phone or email, encourage student engagement in their studies and develop strategies to improve student outcomes.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a PhD level qualification in a relevant field, or Level 9 (Masters) with at least 5 years of relevant experience. You should also have completion of at least two-thirds of a relevant Doctorate or PhD (Level 10) plus 3 years of relevant experience.
