We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Lecturer in Master of Social Work (Qualifying). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and social work to contribute to the development, improvement, and delivery of our program.
About the RoleAs a Lecturer, you will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality, student-centric experience. You will stay abreast with current and emerging principles and best practices, developing and conducting face-to-face teaching and student engagement sessions, and creating learning materials including study guides, webinars, and assessment instructions.
Responsibilities- Develop and conduct lectures and tutorials to facilitate student learning and engagement.
- Create engaging learning materials, such as study guides, webinars, and assessment instructions, to support student understanding.
- Provide individualized study assistance to students and encourage student engagement in their studies.
- Mark student assessments in accordance with assessment and moderation policies.
- Identify and support students at risk, establishing individual learning plans as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will have a PhD level qualification or Masters degree with at least 5 years relevant teaching, research or professional experience in social work or community services. You will have demonstrated experience in developing tertiary subject curricula and teaching materials, ability to coordinate and administer subject delivery, and strong understanding of social work theory and practice.
