We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Development Systems team as a Graduate Town Planner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide planning and development information through our Duty Planner service, ensuring that all stakeholders receive accurate and timely responses.
  • Prepare assessment reports and determinations on development applications and subdivision certificates, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct site inspections and prepare supporting documentation, applying knowledge of relevant Acts and statutory planning processes.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholder feedback on development matters, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Respond to enquiries at the customer service counter, via email, and by phone, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning (or nearing completion), with a strong understanding of relevant Acts and statutory planning processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment.
