Graduate Town Planner Position

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Town Planner to join our team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality outcomes across our diverse community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing planning and development information through our Duty Planner service, preparing assessment reports and determinations on development applications and subdivision certificates, undertaking site inspections and preparing supporting documentation, coordinating internal and external stakeholder feedback on development matters, responding to enquiries at our customer service counter, via email, and by phone, and meeting statutory and Council timeframes and contributing to the delivery of efficient development services.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning (or nearing completion).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of relevant Acts, statutory planning processes, and customer service delivery.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Class C Driver's Licence.
