Job Summary
We are seeking an Aviation Protection Officer to provide a security presence at Tamworth airport, responsible for passenger and baggage screening services. The successful candidate will be part of a committed and customer-focused team, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Initial screening of passengers at departure
- Inspection of items being loaded onto aircraft
- Checking of ASIC cards and reasons for entry
- Search of Aircraft, seats, overhead lockers, life jackets, galleries, etc.
- Check boarding passes and passports of all passengers at the gate
- Complete secondary screening of identified passengers at the gate
- Providing assistance to guests/visitors in areas within the vicinity of the Airport
Requirements
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Currently hold Security Licence
- Currently hold or willing to obtain an ASIC clearance
- Covid Vaccination Records
- Must have full working rights in Australia
- Ability to successfully pass a Drug & Alcohol screening
- Flexibility in working hours
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
