About the Role
We are seeking an Aviation Protection Officer to join our team in Tamworth. As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will be responsible for providing a security presence at the airport, screening passengers and baggage, and ensuring the safety and security of our clients and employees. You will be part of a dedicated and customer-focused team that is committed to delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing a security presence at the airport
- Screening passengers and baggage
- Inspecting items being loaded onto aircraft
- Checking ASIC cards and reasons for entry
- Searching aircraft, seats, overhead lockers, life jackets, galleries, etc.
- Checking boarding passes and passports of all passengers at the gate
- Completing secondary screening of identified passengers at the gate
- Providing assistance to guests/visitors in areas within the vicinity of the airport
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Currently hold Security Licence
- Currently hold or willing to obtain an ASIC clearance
- Covid Vaccination Records
- Must have full working rights in Australia
- Ability to successfully pass a Drug & Alcohol screening
- Flexibility in working hours
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
